Fire Stopping – Transmitting Station

Fire Stopping – Transmitting Station

Compartmentalisation involves installing fire-resistant barriers that prevent or slow down the spread of fire and smoke between different areas of the building. To achieve the desired fire rating, the barriers must be constructed using fire-rated materials and installed in accordance with the relevant building codes and standards.

In addition to compartmentalising the rooms, the project also involves sealing penetrations in the walls and floors to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through gaps around pipes, cables, and ducts. The sealing materials used must also be fire-rated and installed to the appropriate standards to ensure they are effective in preventing fire and smoke spread.

The project team will work closely with the site management to ensure that the fire protection measures are installed with minimal disruption to the station’s operations. The team will also ensure that the installation work is completed safely and to the highest quality standards to provide the best protection against fire risks
