Sealing Compartment Walls

Sealing Compartment Walls

The project encompassed the ground, first and second floor ceiling voids. Our primary objective was to seal the compartment walls, which failed to extend to the floor slab or the true roof height. In addition, we sealed cable or pipe apertures and treated multiple timber beams with intumescent coating system for timber, which provides up to 60 minutes of fire resistance.

The use of these high-quality products ensured that the Fire Protection Works were completed to the highest standards. The sealing of the compartment walls, combined with the use of intumescent coating systems for timber, provided up to 60 minutes of fire resistance, making the building much safer for its occupants. The project was completed in accordance with the EN 13501-2 and EN 1366-3 regulations, ensuring that the fire protection measures in place were of the highest quality. With the successful completion of this project, the building is now better equipped to handle any potential fire hazards, providing peace of mind for all those who use it.
