Fire Stopping – Compartmentation of Roof Void
Fire Stopping – Compartmentation of Roof Void
Compartmentation of a roof void to 60 minutes fire protection is an essential safety measure in building design and construction. The roof void, or the space between the ceiling and the roof, is often overlooked but can be a major contributor to the spread of fire. By compartmentalising the roof void, the spread of fire can be contained, giving occupants more time to evacuate the building and minimising property damage.
